جامعة كفر الشيخ تتصدر الجامعات المصرية في تصنيف التايمز البريطاني وتحقق تقدمًا عالميًا

حققت جامعة كفر الشيخ إنجازًا علميًا جديدًا يضاف إلى سجل إنجازاتها المتميزة، بحصولها على المركز الأول على مستوى الجامعات المصرية، والمركز من 601 إلى 800 عالميًا في تصنيف التايمز البريطاني للجامعات (Times Higher Education World University Rankings – WUR) لعام 2026، وهو أحد أهم وأدق التصنيفات الدولية التي تقيس أداء الجامعات حول العالم في مختلف مجالات التعليم والبحث العلمي.
وأعلن الدكتور إسماعيل إسماعيل ابراهيم، القائم بعمل رئيس جامعة كفر الشيخ، أن هذا الإنجاز الجديد يأتي تتويجًا لجهود الجامعة المتواصلة في دعم منظومة التعليم والبحث العلمي وتطوير الأداء المؤسسي وفقًا للمعايير العالمية، مؤكدًا أن التقدم الملحوظ الذي حققته الجامعة يعود إلى الارتقاء بمستوى البحث العلمي وجودة النشر الدولي وزيادة معدل الاستشهادات العلمية بالأبحاث المنشورة، إضافةً إلى توسيع قاعدة التعاون الدولي مع المؤسسات البحثية والصناعية داخل مصر وخارجها.
وأوضح رئيس جامعة كفر الشيخ، أن تصنيف التايمز البريطاني لمؤسسات التعليم العالي THE يعتمد في تقييم أفضل الجامعات العالمية على 5 مجالات رئيسية هي التدريس، بيئة البحث العلمي، جودة البحث العلمى والمكانة الدولية والتطبيق في الصناعة. وقد تقدمت جامعة كفرالشيخ في مختلف المعايير عن العام الماضى مثل: التدريس 28.7%، بيئة البحث 9.6%، جودة البحث العلمى (حجم أو معدل إنتاجية الأبحاث، دخل الأبحاث، السمعة) 76.9%، المكانة الدولية (الطلبة الوافدين، الطلبة الزائرون، الأساتذة الدوليين، التعاون الدولي) %53.1، والتطبيق في الصناعة (نقل المعرفة) %21.6، وذلك من خلال 13 مؤشر آداء مرتبط بالتدريس والبحث العلمي ونقل المعرفة والاستبيانات الدولية، والتي توفر المقارنات الأكثر شمولاً وتوازنًا بين الجامعات.
وأشار رئيس جامعة كفر الشيخ، إلى أن هذا التميز يعكس رؤية الدولة المصرية وقيادتها السياسية في دعم التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، مؤكدًا أن ما تحققه الجامعات المصرية عمومًا، وجامعة كفر الشيخ خصوصًا، في التصنيفات الدولية هو ثمرة سياسات وطنية طموحة تهدف إلى الارتقاء بجودة التعليم والبحث العلمي وجعل الجامعات المصرية في مصاف الجامعات العالمية.
كما وجّه رئيس جامعة كفر الشيخ، خالص الشكر والتقدير إلى أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة والباحثين والعاملين بالجامعة على جهودهم المخلصة ودورهم الفاعل في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز، مشيدًا بما يبذلونه من عمل جاد ومتواصل للارتقاء بمستوى الأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي وخدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، مؤكدًا أن هذا النجاح هو إنجاز جماعي يعكس روح الفريق الواحد داخل الجامعة، ويؤكد أن جامعة كفر الشيخ تمضي بثبات نحو التميز والريادة محليًا وإقليميًا وعالميًا.
ومن جانبه أشار الدكتور حسن يونس المشرف على وحدة تصنيف جامعة كفر الشيخ، الي أن الجامعة نجحت في تعزيز مكانتها البحثية من خلال زيادة عدد الأبحاث المنشورة في مجلات علمية ذات معامل تأثير مرتفع، وارتفاع نسبة الأبحاث المرجعية والاستشهادات بها على المستوى الدولي، وهو ما انعكس إيجابيًا على ترتيب الجامعة في التصنيف العالمي.
Kafrelsheikh University Leads Egyptian Universities in Times Higher Education World Ranking and Achieves Global Progress
Kafrelsheikh University has achieved a new scientific milestone added to its record of distinguished accomplishments by ranking first among Egyptian universities and placing in the 601–800 band globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (WUR) 2026. This prestigious and rigorous international ranking assesses universities worldwide across key areas of education and scientific research performance.
Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, announced that this new achievement crowns the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance education, scientific research, and institutional performance in accordance with international standards. He emphasized that the remarkable progress made by the university is the result of continuous improvement in research quality, international publication, and citation rates, as well as the expansion of international cooperation with academic and industrial institutions both in Egypt and abroad.
The Acting President explained that the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking system evaluates universities based on five main pillars: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry Income. Kafrelsheikh University has advanced in all areas compared to last year, achieving 28.7% in Teaching, 9.6% in Research Environment, 76.9% in Research Quality (including research productivity, income, and reputation), 53.1% in International Outlook (including international students, staff, and collaborations), and 21.6% in Industry Income (Knowledge Transfer). These results are derived from 13 performance indicators linked to teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international surveys, providing the most comprehensive and balanced global comparisons among universities.
Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim added that this outstanding performance reflects the vision of the Egyptian state and its political leadership in supporting higher education and scientific research. He affirmed that the achievements of Egyptian universities in international rankings — particularly those of Kafrelsheikh University — are the fruit of ambitious national strategies aimed at enhancing education quality, advancing research, and positioning Egyptian universities among the world’s leading institutions.
The Acting President also extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the university’s faculty members, researchers, and administrative staff for their dedication and significant contributions to this success. He praised their continuous efforts to improve academic and research performance, serve the community, and promote environmental development, stressing that this collective success embodies the spirit of teamwork within the university and confirms that Kafrelsheikh University is steadily moving toward excellence and leadership locally, regionally, and globally.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hassan Younis, Supervisor of Kafrelsheikh University’s Ranking Unit, noted that the university has successfully strengthened its research position by increasing the number of publications in high-impact journals and boosting citation and reference rates internationally — factors that have positively influenced the university’s standing in global rankings.
